Wooden Pallets

——

Wooden pallets are the most traditional and widely used pallets, comprising stringer pallets and block pallets. The former is the standard type commonly used in North America, hence also called "American pallets." They feature simple structure, convenient production, good overall sturdiness, and long life. A drawback is less convenient four-way entry compared to block pallets, making them more suitable for highly automated handling. Block pallets are the common type in Europe, also called "Euro pallets," and are also widely used in China. They feature full four-way entry, ease of use, and suitability for manual operation, but have a more complex structure with slightly inferior overall sturdiness and lifespan.

Issues with wooden pallets mainly concern hygiene and production consistency. Being natural materials, achieving uniform quality standards is difficult. However, these characteristics also make them a reference for other pallet types.
